Online application for the 257 post of Junior Civil Engineer form shall be made available in the official website of the Commission www.ossc.gov.in from Dtd.30.08.2019 till Dtd.29.09.2019 by 11.55 PM. Candidates are required to apply through Online Mode only.
No Hard copy of the online application is required to be sent to the Commission. The documents as required are to be uploaded while filling up of the application form and self attested copies of all requisite documents/certificates are to submitted at the time of certificate verification.
The candidates applying for the post must go through the Detailed Advertisement and ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post as laid down therein.
Admission of a candidate for the written examination & other Tests shall be provisional and would be on the basis of the information furnished by him/her in the Online Application form only.
If at any stage of recruitment or thereafter, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his/her online application is false/incorrect or the candidate has suppressed any relevant information or the candidate otherwise does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post, his/her candidature for the Post/Examination will be cancelled forthwith and he may be debarred either temporarily or permanently from appearing any further recruitment examination (s) conducted by Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
As per the Govt. in Works Department Notification No . FE-II-JE(C)-70/13/33215/WR dated 28th Dec, 2013 the Diploma holders in the panel maintained by the committee of chief Engineers shall be allowed to sit in three consecutive recruitment tests irrespective of the fact that they have crossed the upper age limit as provided under the Recruitment Rules, if he/she fulfils the other conditions of recruitment. SCALE OF PAY & CONDITION OF SERVICE:
The appointment will be initially on contractual basis carrying a consolidated pay of Rs.16880/- as per Odisha Group-B Posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 notified vide G.A. Department Notification No. GAD-SCRules-0061-2013-1147/Gen dt. 17.01.2014 and subsequent amendments. The Condition of services shall be governed by relevant cadre rules.
Must not be below 21 years and above 32 years of age as on 01.01.2019. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SEBC,SC,ST & Women candidates, 10 years relaxation in case of PWD category candidates, period of qualifying years of service rendered in Defence Forces in case of Ex-SM Candidates and upto 45 years in case of In-Service Contractual Employees as on 01.01.2019. PWD candidates in the ST & SC category shall be entitled to avail cumulative age relaxation of ten years over & above the normal relaxation specified for the category.
The Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or an equivalent qualification from the institution recognised by the Odisha Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE & VT).
The candidates who have passed Diploma in Civil Engineering from Institutes other than the list of Institutions recognised by SCTE&VT, Odisha must submit equivalent pass Certificate from SCTE&VT (Odisha). The candidates who have passed Diploma in Civil Engineering through Distance mode shall not be eligible for the post.
PLAN OF EXAMINATION:
The Selection shall be based on Career Evaluation and Objective Type Written Test
(a) Written Test (Objective Type) : 100 Marks (50 % weightage)
(b) The Career Evaluation shall be made in the following manner: i. High School Certificate Exam : 20% weightage. ii. Diploma in Civil Engineering: 30% Weightage.
(c) Certificate Verification: Candidates two times of the vacancies in order of merit category wise basing on the sum total of marks secured in Written Examination and Career Evaluation shall be shortlisted for verification of original certificates.
(d) Merit list: The merit list shall be prepared basing on the sum total of marks secured in Written Test & Career Evaluation taken together.
Candidates in order to apply for the post must deposit a non-refundable Fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) through online mode using banking channel/payment gateways (refer to the detailed advertisement). The ST, SC & PWD candidates are exempted from paying any examination fee.
